Abstract Paragangliomas are tumors of the neuroendocrine system, which arise from neural crest and chemoreceptor cells. They can be found in adrenal gland, aortic arch, jugular bulb or at level cochlear promoter. Glomus grow slowly, well vascularized, invasive locally aggressive. Because their anatomic relation with bulb, internal carotid artery, facial nerve cranial nerves IX, X, XI, XII, patients may develop important complications. Therapeutic options for head neck paragangliomas surgical treatment endovascular embolization, conventional radiotherapy, stereotactic radiosurgery a combination these therapeutic methods. In case paragangliomas, it is essential to take into consideration size localization tumor, order establish proper approach, either conservative, radiotherapy surgical, due risk postoperative palsies, details that we try cover this review. emphasise importance correct diagnosis, treatment, complications functional recovery glomus tumors, present 35-year-old female who was diagnosed surgically treated right jugulotympanic paraganglioma. The injuries involved VII, IX X patient followed multiple protocols affected nerves. After specific therapy, partially recovered function nerve; deglutition voice were significantly improved.
