چکیده
Abstract Paragangliomas are tumors of the neuroendocrine system, which arise from neural crest and chemoreceptor cells. They can be found in adrenal gland, aortic arch, jugular bulb or at level cochlear promoter. Glomus grow slowly, well vascularized, invasive locally aggressive. Because their anatomic relation with bulb, internal carotid artery, facial nerve cranial nerves IX, X, XI, XII, patients may develop important complications. Therapeutic options for head neck paragangliomas surgical treatment endovascular embolization, conventional radiotherapy, stereotactic radiosurgery a combination these therapeutic methods. Endovascular Approach to Glomus Jugulare Tumors
BACKGROUND Paragangliomas are benign neuroendocrine tumors derived from the glomus cells of the vegetative nervous system. Typically, they are located in the region of the jugular bulb and middle ear. The optimal management is controversial and can include surgical excision, stereotactic radiosurgery and embolization. CASE REPORT We report the endovascular approach to three patients harboring...

in fact, this study focused on the following questions: 1. is there any difference between the effect of functional/notional approach and the structural approaches to language teaching on the proficiency test of efl learners? 2. can a rather innovative language test referred to as "functional test" ge devised so so to measure the proficiency test of efl learners, and thus be as much reliable an...

Although many tumours of the glomus jugulare have now been reported, attention has been mainly directed to the symptoms and signs of aural disease which they produce; comparatively little interest has been shown in their neurological manifestations. In this communication we report the clinical and pathological findings in six patients suffering from tumour of the glomus jugulare who have been t...

متن کاملTransoral Resection of Giant Parapharyngeal Space Tumors via a Combined Surgical Approach
Introduction: Parapharyngeal space (PPS) tumors account for 0.5% of the head and neck neoplasms. Based on the evidence, 80% of these tumors are of a benign nature. Surgical excision is the treatment of choice for this condition. The present study was conducted to propose transoral resection as an efficient way to excise the benign well-defined tumors of the PPS. Materials and Methods: Thi...
